Finding a place where your passion for toys, comics, video games, a

nd collectibles comes alive can be a challenge. Freaktoyz in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, offers exactly that—a family-run destination that combines nostalgia, community, and a love for all things collectible. Whether you are hunting for vintage wrestling memorabilia, classic Star Wars figures, or the latest video games, Freaktoyz has something special waiting for you.

A Family’s Passion Turned Business

The story of Freaktoyz begins with Melanie and Matthew, a couple whose shared love for collecting vintage toys sparked a unique business. After marrying in 1994, Matthew discovered Melanie’s deep passion for wrestling memorabilia, a hobby she had nurtured since childhood. This shared enthusiasm led them to start selling collectibles on eBay in 1998, balancing their full-time jobs and family responsibilities.

The tough job market in 2011 pushed Matthew to take a leap of faith. He opened the first Freaktoyz brick-and-mortar store on February 8, 2011, turning their hobby into a full-time business. Since then, Freaktoyz has grown steadily, moving to a larger 4,000-square-foot location in 2017, just two doors down from the original store.
